On the afternoon of September 12th, the Opening Ceremony for the 2024 freshmen of School of International Education was held in Room 1301 in Mingli Building. President Xia Xinyan and Dean Mohammad Suhami Abu Rahman of the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, University Kebangsaan Malaysia, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. Leaders, faculty members and all freshmen of International School of Engineeringwere present. The ceremony was hosted by Wang Wei, Dean of International School of Engineering.
President Xia Xinyan first welcomed the delegation from Malaysia, congratulated all the freshmen in International School of Engineering and thanked the teachers for their hard work. She emphasized that International School of Engineering brings together high-quality educational resources from both China and Malaysia, and she hoped that students would not only excel in their professional knowledge but also learn how to be have and conduct themselves well. President Xia also encouraged students to cultivate a sense of social responsibility and dedication, thereby creating a bright future with their wisdom and hard work.
Mohammad Suhami Abu Rahman noted that China and Malaysia have a long history of diplomatic relations and extensive cooperation in the field of education. University Kebangsaan Malaysiais delighted to work with Henan Polytechnic to provide a platform for students' growth and development. He also expressed his expectation that the students would continue their studies in Malaysia and become highly qualified talents with international competitiveness.
Yu Jin, Vice Dean of International School of Engineering, spoke on behalf of the faculty and introduced the basic situation of the college. She hoped that they would strive for academic progress and excel in moral cultivation, social responsibility and international commitment. Hou Anqi, a representative of the 2024 Computer Application Technology major, shared her aspirations for university life and her determination to face future challenges with a more open mindset and enthusiasm.
